9 Earn Awards at the Annual Lakeland REALTORS® Installation and Awards Luncheon
Each year the Lakeland REALTORS® accepts nominations from their members for the prestigious REALTOR® of the Year award. The REALTOR® of the Year award recognizes an active REALTOR® member who has provided outstanding service to our profession and our community during the year. Criteria include REALTOR® Spirit, high principals, faithfulness to laws and regulations and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, participation in community activities, and involvement with the Lakeland REALTORS® to help further the mission of the organization and its members.
On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, Lakeland REALTORS® held its annual Installation & Awards Banquet at the beautiful Magnolia Building and awarded the REALTOR® of the Year award to a deserving individual, Susan Conner with Coldwell Banker.
Susan has served in many capacities at the association including two years as the Golf Task Force Chair, raising $17,000 this past year alone for the Lakeland Fire Department.
Susan always has the Association’s best interest at heart. She is a leader in our community and volunteers her time and talents to many worthy causes, including promoting the real estate profession with integrity and honesty, supporting our local police, firefighters, and our military.
The William Loftin Commercial REALTOR® of the Year was presented to David Bunch with Hauger Bunch for his dedication to serving the commercial real estate sector and for his leadership in creating Lakeland’s Bonnet Park.
Juli Surface with CenterState Bank of Lakeland was awarded the Preferred Business Partner of The Year award for her hard work ethic and continuous support of the REALTOR® community.
In addition to these awards, the Volunteer of the Year is selected by the Lakeland REALTORS® staff. The 2019 award went to Angie Reynolds with Megg Homes. Angle has dedicated many volunteer hours to the profession and to Lakeland REALTORS®, including serving on the Community Service and YPN Committees.
The Humanitarian of the Year award was presented to Macara and Jason Parker with Coldwell Banker / JP’s Termite and Pest Control. Macara & Jason work tirelessly to make our community a better place and hold an annual fishing tournament in honor of Jason’s mother who loved to fish and whom they lost to cancer seven years ago. They have raised thousands of dollars in her name benefiting Good Shepherd Hospice. They support many other charities and good causes in the community as well.
